Wild Plains Outfitters Hunting Guides - Trouvaille Hunting Lodge - Lebanon, Kansas

Brandon Consalus

Brandon has worked as a guide for three years with Wilderness Place Lodge, an all-inclusive fly fishing lodge located in Alaska. During his time in Anchorage, Brandon specialized in providing guests with the opportunity to catch Rainbow trout, Arctic grayling, Chinook, Pink, Sockeye, Silver and Chum salmon.

A 2020 graduate of Tarleton State University, Brandon has a B.S. in Wildlife, Sustainability and Ecosystem Sciences. During his time at Tarleton State, he assisted in a translocation project, working to reestablish a sustainable population of Northern bobwhite quail to an area where they had previously been extirpated. He also conducted undergraduate research on the effects of bobwhite mortality and nesting locations on meso-predator populations on the surrounding areas.

Along with years of successful guiding experience, Brandon has completed certifications for the USCG 6-pack License. Brandon grew up fishing and hunting in Texas and considers himself extremely fortunate to provide others with similar experiences that have helped shape his own passion for the outdoors.

Jarod Peterson

While Jarod has seen a multitude of beautiful, wide open spaces in his four years as a guide, Kansas has always had his heart. A 2019 graduate of Kansas State University, Jarod finished with a degree in Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management. Jarod became an Eagle Scout in 2016, and completed his certifications for the USCG 6-pack license in 2019. His journey began in Alaska working at Wilderness Place Lodge. He quickly moved up the ranks and held the position of head guide of fish operations for three of the four seasons, specializing in trout and salmon during the summer months.

Jarod spent the fall of 2020 as an upland guide outside of Chicago, IL partnering with the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation, running trips for pheasant, duck and geese. Following the main fishing season of 2021, Jarod guided for 3 months in Cold Bay, AK with Four Flyways Outfitters working ducks, geese and fishing. He has a variety of boating experience from running 4 inch deep channels to combatting the elements of the big blue Pacific!

Jarod’s appreciation for this work is rooted in a family of outdoorsmen. He has hunted and fished his whole life. Now he’s fortunate enough to call it his full time job.

Destiny Madigan

The opportunity to become part of the hunting community in Kansas as an owner is a dream come true for Destiny. She has her dad to thank for introducing her to upland bird hunting as a kid. She became quickly attached to bird dogs and spent most of her spare time making runs to Kansas from Texas over the last 22 years with her pack of pointers.

Destiny is a ‘99 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Masters in Animal Science. She explored South Dakota in the fall of 2021, guiding pheasant hunts at Eagle Pass Lodge alongside her crew of fellow dog-handlers. She has attended George Hickox’s bird dog clinic, a well-known and accomplished mentor for many lovers of hunting dogs.

Destiny also owns Harmony Canines Inc., a dog training operation in South Texas. Harmony Canines Inc. is a group of five Animal Behavorial College graduates, specializing in the prevention and management of aggressive and anxious behavior in dogs.

Destiny is excited to bring her animal husbandry expertise and guest hospitality to the table alongside an accomplished team of guides here at Trouvaille.
